Hi Jessica!
I just joined your blog – It really caught my eye because you live in South Carolina & because you are a first time mother too! I love “New Mama” blogs (especially since I have one myself!) – The reason I mentioned the South Carolina thing is – my husband and I are moving to Greenville, SC (as soon as we can sell this house here in NJ!!) and anything “South Carolina” or “New mama” catches my eye. So your blog got ‘double noticed’ by me! haha! Anyway, your blog is very enjoyable and your son is so adorable! Just wanted to intorduce myself… Have a nice day –

Skye :)

Hi Jessica!
Just wanted to let you know that your blog is one of my fav’s! I am a mommy to an 8 month old girl and I also breastfeed, cloth diaper and make her food.

I just started blogging if you want to check it out… It is still very new :)

Hi Jessica!

May I ask, what do you use to make Knox’s baby food? A food processor, food mill or the like? Which brand and do you like it?

I am asking you because after reading through much of your blog, I trust your honesty and judgment. You seem to appreciate the same things that I do and go about raising Knox the same as I am raising Carson Grace!

Thank you for your help!!

Holly, thank you, I used a Black and Decker food processor for his food. It has worked great for us!

Thank you! One more question – what was the first food you tried with Knox and how old was he? Most books state Fortified Rice, but I hate buying boxed baby anything at the grocery. I plan on trying more veggies as Carson Grace gets a bit older, but not sure where to start with the rice/oatmeal suggestions!

We actually started with brown rice, but soon after tried avocado and sweet potatoes, which both went great! We waited until six months to introduce solids, and he was exclusively bf’d until then. :)

Hi Jessica,

I have enjoyed reading your blog. I also have PCOS and am hypothyroid I also took Metformin. Currently pregnant at almost 26 weeks and am having a boy. I saw we have a lot in common with trying to get prego. I went to a clinic to try and get prego did the whole clomid thing, I could ovulate by myself though not on a normal 28 cycle. I had ones of 38 days, if I didn’t let stress get to me and my thyroid level remained good. All the clomid did for me was make me have two eggs, though very bad CM. I did this for four cycles and wanted to take a break since the side effects were killer. So I also read up on CM and and found a vitamin that works wonders, I got prego all by myself just by taking it, and had beautiful CM. I saw that you are trying again and on Metformin, the vitamin if you want to give it a try is Evening Primrose. You take it on day on of your cycle and stop once you ovulate. If you do not become prego do the same thing for the next cycles. Anyway just wanted to give you this info and hope you pregnant soon again. Good Luck.
Chantal
