Knox’s hair has become a much-discussed topic in our household over the past few weeks. At birth, the kid had enough hair to top the heads of about five newborns, and he rocked his faux-hawk for quite a while. Some time passed and it all started to fall out at warp speed. It got too thin to hawk, so we started doing the “Donald” aka the comb-over. His bald spots have all filled back in, now, but I wouldn’t say it’s “normal” as of now. I’m not quite sure how to describe his current style. Everything fell out except for a massive tuft at the crown of his head, some stringly bits at the top of his head and two thin locks on each side. It’s very interesting. Now, the side pieces have started to curl. So he has this rooster/ alfalfa thing on top and a curl on one side and a kind of wave on the other. It’s so funny. I planned to leave it alone until he was one year old or so, but my mom has been urging me to “just cut that top piece off.” I mentioned it to Trevor in passing and he had quite a strong reaction to it, so, needless to say, we’re not cutting it!
I tried to take a picture of his curl today for y’all to see, and that was an adventure unto itself. He is rather spastic these days and won’t really hold still. He kept grabbing my pen and a piece of paper that was SO interesting. Here is how our photo session went:
Ouch, that would be my earring!

You can see “the curl” in a few of these… I take it that he may be a curly-haired boy which makes my heart happy. Trevor had curls as a baby and I have insanely curly hair as an adult, so I guess he’s got the genes for it. I love this boy.
