Sometimes it’s hard to get things done while you’re holding a baby. I told you about some of the things I have learned to do one-handed in my last post, but nonetheless, it is always helpful to have both hands free. This is why baby carriers and slings are such handy inventions. I have tried a few different kinds of slings and wraps, and my number one issue is that I cannot get the thing adjusted right, mainly it’s either too tight or too loose. This is why the Baby K’Tan is a very cool invention. It’s sized to fit you like a tight t-shirt, so it’s easy to make sure it fits because you literally cannot screw that up. Nice. They have a lot of cute colors and patterns, and it can be adjusted eight different ways. It works on new babies or toddlers, which is always a nice bonus.
It’s kind of pre-tied like this:

You just maneuver the loops and do some wrapping and voila! It’s a baby carrier. I must caution you to look at the pictures and read the directions. I was reading the directions and merely glancing at the pictures, and I could not figure out how my adventure hold kept turning into a crazy looking beauty queen sash. Directions are your friends. I finally figured out that the pictures are mucho helpful and got it situated. Here we are, in our cute Baby K’Tan (never mind the lovely things fluorescent lighting does for one’s complexion):

If you would like to win your own Baby K’Tan, do this stuff:

I am a baby book junkie. It started when we were trying to get pregnant and only got worse once Knox arrived. I have at least 15 to 20 books related to infertility, pregnancy and babies. And now I have another one.
24/7 Baby Doctor by Dr. Victoria Rogers McEvoy. And I really like it. Dr. McEvoy is a Harvard-educated pediatrician and answers a TON of questions in this easy-to-reference book. I love to have books like this on-hand for those random middle-of-the-night issues and common questions or concerns. 24/7 Baby Doctor takes on a lot of key questions, like what issues warrant a call to the pediatrician and which you can handle yourself, vaccinating schedules, sleeping issues and even which baby Web sites are the most accurate and best to visit. Overall, I think the book was well-written and very useful.

If you would like to win your own copy, just tell me so in the comments. It doesn’t get much easier than that!
I will draw winners for all three posts Wednesday morning, so you have until midnight Tuesday to enter.
Happy Friday!

No, that’s not a typo… today is “Three” Stuff Friday because I’m giving away three cool products BECAUSE I LOVE Y’ALL SO MUCH. For real!
Now, here is a little life lesson for you: babies drop things. Shocking, right? Well, not only do they drop things, but they throw things and, as a mom, sometimes you forget things (shhh, don’t tell anyone). You know that expression “I’d lose my head if it wasn’t attached?” Well, I’d lose a lot of it wasn’t attached, so thankfully, I have the Dropper Stopper. What a handy little invention. It’s a cute elasticized strap that you attach to the item you don’t want to lose (ie bottle, Sophie, toy, etc), then it attaches to your stroller, car seat, highchair, whatever. Then, when that favorite item is inevitably tossed by your screaming child… BOING! It merely goes on a little bungee jump and is saved from hitting the germy floor. Genius, I tell you. And it’s adjustable so it can be used on little items or big ones. For instance, Knox can use it with Sophie or his bear lovey:

Now that I have convinced you of the awesomeness of the Dropper Stopper, wouldn’t you like to win one? Of course you would! I’ll be giving away this adorable turquoise polka dot Stopper to the winner:
