Christmas Day

by Jessica on January 10, 2013

After this, I will start posting about current events! Ha! On Christmas morning, we all woke up and headed downstairs to open presents from Santa. We did not go crazy on gifts and kept things very basic. Of course, Knox wanted all of Brody’s gifts and Brody wanted all of Knox’s. Typical brothers!

After they opened gifts, we had Trevor’s parents over for brunch. I made sausage gravy biscuits and the Pioneer Woman’s French Toast Bake and it was SO good!

After brunch, we played some more then put the boys down for a nap. Around 4:00, we headed over to my mom and stepdad’s house to do Christmas with them. We opened gifts when we got there, and Knox was so excited to get Bucky (the ship from “Jake and the Neverland Pirates”) and played with it for the longest time. He kept making the parrot, Scully, fly around- it was so sweet. Then, we had a HUGE delicious dinner and just hung out with our family for the rest of the evening. Brody decided during dinner that the green beans I gave him were inferior to the filet mignon on my plate (well, yes… I agree!) so he helped himself to a piece of my steak! This poor kid needs some teeth pronto because he desperately wants to be a carnivore!

We really had a wonderful Christmas this year, and we enjoyed every moment!

He doesn’t need teeth to eat meat. Their gums can gnaw apart tender small bites of meat just as well as teeth. Or offer shredded/pulled meats that you shred apart with forks. Let the kid enjoy!! :)

Looks like everyone had a very great celebration!
