Weekend wrap-up

by Jessica on October 22, 2012

I took an unintentional blog break last week- both kids ended up sick AGAIN. Brody was at the doctor Monday and Knox followed on Wednesday. They were actually worried Knox may have pneumonia, but thankfully, his bloodwork was good. Speaking of, he didn’t cry when they pricked his finger and watched the whole procedure. He did not get that from me!! Blech!

Aside from cleaning constantly to keep our house “show-ready” (so awful!), we had a pretty good weekend. We visited Trevor’s Nan and Pop on Friday. Knox had a blast running and playing while Trevor and Pop staked out our property and decided where the house should go. I adore his grandparents, and Knox made Nan’s day when he called her by name.

Trevor worked on Saturday, so the boys and I went to lunch at Mellow Mushroom (soy-free cheese pizza, by the way) with my mom and sister. Knox discovered he could make letters out of crayons- saying “H!” here:

And Brody the Hungry swiped a piece of crust, which pretty much made his week.

That kid LOVES food. It’s quite unfortunate that he still has no teeth. Well, for him, anyway. I’m okay with not having tooth-marked nipples. After lunch, the boys and I went to visit Trevor at the fire station. Knox has started calling Trevor “Daddo,” which is probably the cutest thing ever.

We love seeing Trevor at work- it always thrills the kids to visit him. Sunday we went to church then had Trevor’s parents over for dinner. Brody had puffs for the first time and had a bit of trouble, but that didn’t stop him!

Oh and Knox cuddled up to Trevor innocently before he broke his phone case. That kid is a mess!

All in all, we had a nice relaxing weekend. How was yours?
