Guys. My child slept.
For SEVEN hours.
IN A ROW!!!
That’s happened, oh, never. Yet he has done it twice this week. And he’s napped during the day for more than 20 minutes at a time.
!!!!! (<– The typing equivalent of a happy dance and some very loud & annoying squealing)
I tell you, it’s like a whole new world! A beautiful, glorious world where I don’t feel like a dang zombie all day long. A world where I do not need an I.V. of coffee to stay coherent. A world where… well, I could keep doing this all day, but a world where I get to go to sleep and actually feel rested the next morning. It’s really, really nice, and I like it. He must have read my post last week, y’all. How thoughtful of him!
Granted the past two nights, Brody’s woken up at 2 or 3 a.m., but once I feed him, he’s back out until 7ish. I seriously feel like a new person, and here’s the weird part: I have done nothing differently. It’s like he all of a sudden realized “Hey, sleeping is really cool.” Yeah, kid. That’s what I’ve been trying to tell you for FIVE MONTHS NOW. Maybe the tides have turned??
Please, oh, please, say they have!
Is it just me, or is he even cuter with his eyes closed??

Jessica-
This blog is so cute (and funny)! As I am starting over with boy #2 a lot of it really hits home. Things are completely different this time around (or I have forgotten a lot in the past 6 1/2 years. Keep it up, I will definitely be checking in between the midnight feedings and bazillion loads of laundry.

He is so darn cute!!!And yes for sleeping that long!!!!
What a sweet picture!! The pure sweetness makes my heart melt!
YAY!!! Congrats!! My daughter woke up to nurse around 2-3am until around 9 months but it wasn’t so bad. We would nurse and she would go right back to sleep.
I am praying for you that he’s turned the corner!!!
My older child (daughter who is 2 1/2) didn’t sleep for more than about 3-4 hours at a time until she was 10 months old! I was BEYOND exhausted most of the time. I was expecting the same craziness with #2 (son who is 5 months), but he’s been a fabulous sleeper pretty much from the beginning. It’s crazy how different they can be.
YAY for sleep
I feel your pain!! C didn’t “sleep through the night” until he was ten months old. And that was only 6-8 hrs which I for one do not consider enough sleep! I’m scared to death for number 2. Trying to nap as much as I can now hahahah
Great news! Go Momma [and baby!].
I am so happy for you! What a difference a good night of sleep can make.
My 4 month old has been waking every ten minutes since 2.30am tonight (its now 4.19) so I hope we get a similar turn of events soon!
