14 Weeks

Since people keep asking me how far along I am, I figure I should keep up with my pregnancy surveys a little bit better! Here it is for this week:

How far along? 14 weeks and 5 days
Total weight gain/loss: 5 pounds up… though it feels like much more.
Maternity clothes? Oh yes, indeed. All my pants are maternity and some of my shirts.
Sleep: It’s been pretty good lately, I am feeling more rested than I was in the beginning.
Best moment this week: Browsing at the baby furniture store, which is SO much fun!
Movement: Pretty sure I am starting to feel light movement! I can definitely hear it on the doppler, and am starting to feel odd sensations that I am guessing are the baby wiggling. Nothing definitive yet, but I don’t think it will be long. My placenta was anterior with Knox so I didn’t feel him until 21 weeks- this is a big difference!
Food cravings: Sweet tea (which I make decaf at home), cheese and crackers and sour candy.
Gender: ? Only 13 days until we find out, and I am sticking with my guess of “boy.”
Labor Signs: No thank you.
Belly Button in or out? Oh my poor belly button. I’ll end up having to have belly button reconstructive surgery after this. I swear, the second the second line appeared my belly button started to pop out. It is so bizarre looking!
What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach, not having migraines (which are wretched, by the way).
What I am looking forward to: Gender ultrasound, nursery decorating
Weekly Wisdom: If you do get a pregnancy migraine, drinking something with a little caffeine does help, even if you have been avoiding it. It only takes a little bit to make you feel better!
Milestones: It will be a milestone if this spotting stays away, so let’s hope it does! It’s been about a day and a half with nothing, so far.

I have got to stop taking pictures at this angle because it gives me a HUGE arm! I promise, my arm is not wider than my head, as it appears to be here.

Sorry you are having migraines! They are the devil!
You look so cute, don’t worry about your arms… I didn’t even notice that. I was too busy looking at your cute belly!

I had TERRIBLE pregnancy migraines with Owen, mostly behind my left eye (random?) I always found it got a little better if I drank A TON of water. I know, so weird. My headaches went away around 17 weeks, I almost considered vicodin at one point.

You are too cute with your bump #2!

Congratulations! I’ve been reading your blog for a long time now. I just share with you that I had terrible headaches early on in my pregnancy. I started going to the chiropractor and it took care of them completely! (No medicine or caffeine necessary!)

I was JUST telling Trevor I needed to go back to the chiropractor! I used to go every two weeks for my TMJ, and it helped so much with headaches, but I haven’t been in months! I think I’ll be visiting this week!
