I’m linking up with Kelly’s Korner for another riveting edition of “Show us your life Fridays.” This week’s assignment is kids’ rooms or nurseries. I am never finished decorating any room, so I still have plans for this one, as well. I eventually want to sew curtains and put up the nice black curtain rod I’ve had since before the child was born (I’m busy, what can I say?). And I have plans for art on either side of the window, so that will change slightly. BUT I still love this room. So, without further ado, here is Knox’s nursery:
Here's the Puff Rocker (amazingly comfortable) and Knox's palm tree. We keep that box of toys in the closet normally, but we just got finished playing with them. Knox loves to dump out the whole box and climb all over the toys. Good times.
This hangs over the rocking chair. My sister, Kayla, painted it for Knox when he was in the hospital. It has his birthdate and weight on it. Also, all around the perimeter are logos from different surfing companies, and she also painted Trevor's surfboard on there which thrilled him to pieces.
This is what you see as you walk into Knox's room from the hallway.
Here is the crib, which we LOVE. It only took four trips to the furniture store to pick it out. I'm decisive like that. Knox is staring at me wondering why I am not picking him up.
Although the crib is currently naked because my child climbs bumpers and such, it used to have precious "Giggling Turtle" bedding from Baby Gap. Love.
These are the name letters I painted for Knox when I was pregnant. I copied some I saw online and liked, but I was not about to pay $100 when I could do it myself!
Knox's dresser with his vintage surfing signs over the top. My friend, Lindsey, painted the awesome surfboard for him. I'm about to move it to the other side of the window vertically because Knox LOVES to kick it when I change him, and that sucker is really heavy. The hamper is on the left and the white trash can is our cloth diaper pail.
The closet... at least how the closet looked before Knox was born. This is definitely an old picture.
This cross hangs over Knox's door and was a gift from his Grandpa and Mimi on his dedication day.
It's his room, after all. Plus, he was SO cute in there looking up at me.
The End. I hope you enjoyed checking out Knox’s nursery!
