Today we decided to take Knox on his very first trip to the zoo. I was so excited about it- I looked forward to it all week long, it was seriously like I was a little kid again anticipating a fun day looking at all of the animals. We got there nice and early to beat the heat and couldn’t wait to see Knox’s reaction to all of the animals. Yeah… his favorite things? A sprinkler that we walked by and the tram. He is such an animal lover. Here are some of our favorite shots of the day:

All in all, it was a very fun time (though it will be more fun when it’s not 95 degrees outside).

I love Riverbanks!! I completely understand the heat! Cola is the armpit of SC….or the world in my opinion! I love Knox’s expressions in all of the pics! He’s tooo cute!
No joke, it’s wretched with heat. Riverbanks is quite awesome, though!
How fun! Spencer has that little outfit as well. I think it’s about time to take him for a trip to the zoo!
So… I feel like an idiot. I havent been leaving comments… cause I couldn’t find them! So now that I know they are at the top, I will leave lots more! I bet the zoo was fun! Keating saw goats the other day and thought they were so bizarre. Cant wait to take him to the zoo and aquarium!
LOL, I am very glad you figured it out! I know, WP is definitely different!
Kids + Animals + Camera = Great Photos + Funny Photos.
Come by when you figure out how the howler monkeys are making all that noise…
Oh I love the picture of you and Knox both looking at the camera. We took are daughter to the zoo with my parents at around 5 months. Not nearly as good as pictures. She was more interested in her own feet then the animals, lol.
It’s amazing how “cool” feet are, isn’t it?
What a fun day!! We have a GREAT zoo only about 20 min away and we have a pass. Trevor has been..at least 10 times already! Knox looks so happy to have both you and Trevor for the day. I hope SC cools down soon for you!
I am so happy I stumbled upon your blog.
Being a Southern Belle myself I immediately felt at home on your blog and I look forward to coming back often.
I can’t wait to tell all my friends about your blog and I look forward to connecting with you again.
I would love to exchange links with you or possibly advertise on your blog as we have a virtual online shopping mall and it is based around “All Things Southern Belle”…
Will be back soon!

we took our first zoo trip a few weeks back and had a blast! nothing beats the jaw dropped the entire time as they take everything in!! such great pics, I love the “hey it’s my mom” shot…such a cute little man!
We were supposed to take Noah to the zoo on Friday, too.. but he ended up having that allergic reaction, so we couldn’t. We must have been thinking alike! Are you off on Fridays, now?
Poor guy, I hope y’all can go soon.
I wish… I just took off the past two Fridays. Otherwise, we’d totally be hanging out every week!
his face while looking at the monkeys is priceless.
adorable.
Rock on! I don’t even take my wallet to work any more. I use to spend on my breaks, now I sit and read.
Sorry it’s been so long since I commented! But love the day at the zoo- thanks for sharing!!
I absolutely love the 3rd picture; Mommy and Knox. It’s gorgeous..
