I woke up this morning to the distinct feeling of Knox marching on my ribs. That, however, is not what this post is about, it was just really neat feeling and not at all painful. Not like the incredible pinching in my cervix! After Knox was finished marching, I realized I HAVE TO PEE! Bad! I jumped up and went. No relief. Then I realized that I didn’t have to pee, something was pinching the mess out of my cervix. Owie! I got down on the floor and did some pelvic tilts, which can be very effective at getting baby to scoot over off of sensitive parts, but that didn’t work. I tried a few different positions to no avail.
I have had downward pressure on my cervix before, but never a pinching sensation like this. I called the nurse on call and asked her, and she said that I should come in. I swear, I was just in there yesterday for my normal appointment. I know they think I am a lunatic there. And what’s funny is that every time I call for anything weird, the same doctor is always on call. I think this means that when I go into labor, I know who will show up at the hospital to deliver me. The coincidence is just too much. Luckily, she is my second favorite after my own doctor and her nurse is awesome. Anyhow, I will let you guys know what this baby is doing to my cervix after my appointment at 11:40 this morning.
ETA: Looks like Knox’s head is the culprit here. The pinch had stopped by the time I got the doctor’s office (of course), but they checked my cervix which is still long and thick. Great news to hear! She said his head is “right up against it” which is probably the cause of the discomfort. He found himself a nice cozy spot that was making me hurt! I also told her that I am constantly running to go pee, and then getting no relief once I get there. It feels like I am going to be peeing for at least a full five minutes when I sit down, and this measly trickle comes out. TMI? Perhaps, but that’s a chance you take when you read this blog, folks. She said that’s really common, so I guess I am not alone in this peeing fake out!
Happy Friday!

Sorry but I have to LOL a little. I hope everything is ok.
Thanks for your comment on my blog…It helps to a.) know that I'm not alone and b.) know that it's normal, and I'm not strange or crazy!
I am so glad all is well. We are so experiencing the same thing! My little boy's head is pushed right up against my cervix, too, and I get these weird shooting pains, especially when I stand up (I've been on bedrest for 7 weeks because my boy's position has thinned out my cervix). He's already at a 0 station. Ouch! I'm 32 weeks so hoping he stays put for a few more weeks. And you, too, Knox! Stay put and go easy on your Mama!
OMG I LIVED on the potty when I got to the 3rd trimester. It was so annoying! And I had the "pinching"…that can get really painful, so I'm sorry you have to deal with that! Glad to hear that you're still doing well though. Looking forward to seeing you for your shower tomorrow
I have the pee thing too. No fun.
I'm super glad your pinching feeling went away.
