I called my OB’s office and told them their wimpy Colace didn’t do jack for me, and that we needed to progress to something MUCH stronger. She suggested Dulcolax suppositories, and voila! They worked!! Literally within 15 minutes, which is nuts. She said to keep taking Colace as a preventative measure and to increase the fiber. I already eat a lot of fiber, drink a lot of water, etc. Ever since I took a nutrition class in college, I actively try to include a LOT of fiber in my diet, but it has been more difficult during pregnancy with the food aversions to vegetables and the like. Sorry, baby, if you don’t want veggies, but it is time for your Momma to take a stand! I can’t deal with this “issue” anymore, so we’re getting back on track!
Thanks you guys for all of your good suggestions, which I plan to keep in mind for the next time this happens (I’m not delusional enough to think it won’t).

see there, I knew my poopie prayer would do the trick!!!!!
Hooray!
I also remembered that cherries are a really good source of fiber – and folic acid! If the thought of veggies is too gross, try some fruits instead.
Yay! Congrats on the ticker change as well!
Congrats on the #2. I am going to bring this up with my Dr. today cause I need something stronger. I will have to mention the suppositories and see if they will let me use those.
I will never do Dulcolax for as long as I live. Awful stuff. It will wake you in the middle of the night to make you go. I was literally on the toilet cold and sweating with the intense cramps it gave me. Blehhh. Nevertheless, glad it worked out for you
